Everyone needs a vacation, right?

Whether you are known as Mr. and Mrs. Smith at work and Mom and Dad at home, or Mr. and Mrs. soon to be husband and wife, one thing is for certain: A little romantic getaway should be high up on the list.

A destination?

How about the beautiful and majestic Malaysia?

A gorgeous region known for its romantic qualities, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia should be your destination of choice. While you’re there, you may want to partake in some of the better-known activities.

Must See

For a spot of history, you will want to travel to Merdeka Square/Jalan Hishamuddin. Here, you will find the Petronas Towers, which are the world's second-tallest buildings, the Kuala Lumpur Philharmonic, and the National Theater. If you are in the mood for a little more adventure, you will want to visit the world’s largest indoor amusement park, the Cosmo's World Theme Park.

Great Adventures

Kuala Lumpur is the home of some of the most outrageous water adventures in the world.

Located at the center of the Gombak and Klang rivers, you will find canoeing, white-water rafting and kayaking one of the great passions of the people as well as the vacationers here.

For a dryer sort of adventure, you can always go jungle hiking and biking.

Local Cuisine

Now for a taste of the rich culture of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the dining and cuisine of this far-away land are as enticing as love and passion. This region gains its heritage from Chinese and European colonialism. This means the food here is unbelievable. Some of the best in the world.

And just in case you thought that eating local cuisine meant only being able to enjoy classic Malaysian dishes, you’d be surprised to find local eateries here range from authentic Middle Eastern cuisine to Scandinavian fine dining.

Bon Appetit!

Bargain Hunting

When it comes to collecting and buying trinkets and souvenirs, the markets here are inviting, friendly, and cheap.

The Suria KLCC is a huge mall that offers everything from designer clothing to local arts and crafts. Although China Town hosts fantastic markets and great prices, the hand-craft epicenter of Malaysia is undoubtedly the Central Market on Jalan Benteng.

There are also currency exchange markets located everywhere and are easily accessible so you can be sure to have a few Malaysian ringgits when you need them.
