Multi-Million Dollar Upgrades at Sandals St. Lucia Resorts
Post Date: June 26, 2017
The St. Lucia Times reported Monday that Sandals Resorts International has just announced two exciting new projects in Saint Lucia— a new all-inclusive Caribbean resort (expected to be completed by 2019) and multi-million dollar investments in upgrading the resort facilities it already has on the island.
Sandals Chairman the Hon. Gordon Butch Stewart, has also announced major upgrades for the recently acquired 18-hole Championship St. Lucia Golf Club, which has been renamed the Sandals St. Lucia Golf and Country Club.
Just imagine as part of your all-inclusive vacation to the Caribbean, stopping off at the golf course and country club, which has recently been acquired by Sandals Resorts, and golfing in the beautiful tropics while breathing in the fresh tropical air!
The plans for the chain’s fourth resort on the island, Sandals St. Lucia La Source, means Sandals will be expanding its offerings on the island while steadily improving the existing Sandals resorts.
Earlier in the year, several private, exclusive, over-the-water bungalows were unveiled at Sandals Grande, and the all-inclusive resort company is currently spending millions of dollars to improve its Sandals Halcyon Beach resort.
Imagine one week you’re booking an all-inclusive resort at a special rate with a professional travel vacations booking agency. Then before you know it you and a loved one are lazing over the bright blue tropical waters in a just-built, exclusive bungalow, rubbing cocoa butter into your skin and breathing a sigh of relief from the hustle and bustle of work and home!
Sandals General Manager Christopher Elliott offered some comments about the resort upgrades at the St. Lucia La Source news conference over the weekend:
“Over the last year, we have spent over U.S. $4 million, close to U.S. $5 million on our rooms, redeveloping our rooms, renovating our rooms at Sandals Halcyon. We’ve added 12 lovely pools in front of our Butler rooms. We’re in the process right now of building River Suites right on the beachfront.”
The General Manager of Sandals Grande St. Lucia, Winston Anderson said:
“We’re lucky the Caribbean and St. Lucia, in particular, happens to have some of the warmest, friendliest people that you can find anywhere, and there are opportunities given to them every single day to develop themselves. A lot of our managers at this resort have started at the ranks and continue to develop, they have been given scholarships, and what we’re doing now is we’re preparing them for Sandals La Source.”
